Catching up

I’m working on revisions today, doctor’s appointment for my feet, I’ll be stopping at the library, and maybe Barnes & Noble.

It’s been a crazy few weeks as I settle into these revisions. I’m taking my time as I want to have the book done by summer. I intend to submit it to various places.

My wife and I are seeing Heart Eyes tonight. It looks fun and it’s been a minute since I saw a horror movie in the theater.

I’m currently reading, Another, by Paul Tremblay and Native Son by Richard Wright.

The Tremblay book is middle grade and comes out later this year. I received the copy through NetGalley and the publisher. I should finish it in the next day or two.

I’m currently playing, World of Warcraft, with my wife and I’ve been listening to Kendrick Lamar and Nine Inch Nails.

I haven’t been watching much of anything as my wife and I play at night or I work.

The day job of bartending is slower than I’d like.

Depending how my doctor’s appointment goes I may have surgery on my foot. That will sideline me from work for 6-8 weeks.

I’m looking forward to next month. My oldest turns 21 and I turn 49. The former is what I’m looking forward to, the latter is only a number anymore.

Hard to believe I’ve bartended for 26 years and that my wife and I returned to our hometown almost 10 years ago. It’s gone by crazy fast.

I have a story out on submission that I hope to hear back on any day now. It would be great to get two acceptances in a month.

I’ll keep writing either way.
